3000 yen doesn't seem to be a bad price considering you get a sheet of decals the size of the box, with one of each of the 10 characters from the original game too. It would probably be more expensive to print the decals yourself if I'm honest

make sure you research the kits for any non-bandai thing you want to build, there are huuuge differences in quality for most plamo, even new releases aren't safe if they use old molds

Hey guys. Got some decals for nazi bot. Stopped in at the local shop a few days ago, guy said he would dig some stuff out for me. Went back today. Said all he found was mostly cracked and garbage. So he took me over to whats basically their bargain bin and said he'd give me a deal. Helped me dig though kits based on the markings I wanted. Essentially 5$ for a couple of old ass plane kits, with the boxes a little crushed. Bought them for the decals, but the actual planes are fine, so I might fuck around with those at some point. Guy was pretty cool to, they didnt have any gundam stuff, but he knew a lot about it. I Know the ones in the left are watersildes cause it said so in the instructions, but no info from the sheet on the right. Is blue just the universal water slide........color thing?

Thanks anon. That was a weird vibe I had walking though the store and talking to the guy running it. I actually dont know shit about modeling out side of a few paint techniques. It never dawned on me until I went there how different gunpla is from everything else.

What exactly happened with the All Gundam Project anyway? The only one I ever picked up was pick related and other than the weird shoulders I loved it. It was my first kit and it looks like a scuffed up, gouged mess with fucked up peeling stickers everywhere and incomplete panel lining. My greatest shame.

Not yet. I gave up on Gunpla for a couple years ago due to some issues with anxiety making it hard as fuck to enjoy and only just got back into it a little while ago with my RX-78-2 revive that turned out a lot nicer. Despite missing some details before top coating.

UK anon here, has anyone ordered from Banzai Hobby before? They don't have reviews on a couple of their weapon kits so I'm a bit hesitant to order.

What's the scale like on the kotobukiya weapons?

Would they look ridiculous on a 1/144? Or maybe a good ridiculous...

Depends on the weapon. The handles are a bit large for a 1/144 but might fit in some cases. Frame Arms kits, which is what they're made for, are closer to 1/100 scale.

Well, this is their huge fist with the build burning. Bit hard to balance with it but otherwise fine.

"All gunpla project" was just a marketing gimmick for their goal to release a bunch of lead gundams in hg scale. It wasn't a commitment to release every gundam. When the gimmick got stale they made the "Revive" subline doing basically the same thing. And now they're moving onto the next marketing gimmick to act as an excuse to get you to buy the same design again.

I was looking into the new RG Gold Frame for a next RG, but the lack of undergating on the high gloss parts like the Sinanju is kinda a turn off. It sucked having to polish the part to get that gloss finish back.

Burger anon here, I've ordered from them before. Since it's not one of the "big" Gundam/animumerch retailers certain kits tend to stay in-stock there longer than in HLJ/Amiami/etc., and they're priced fairly competitively with them to boot. They're pretty alright.

Melted then broke the cockpit armour on my MG Astray Red in an attempt of using a hairdryer to quickset the matt topcoat. How do I get replacements? Kuboten is fucking expensive. Ozfag here.

Also you can try using one of those tiny ass pointed cotton swabs with just a little bit of thinner to clean up around the edges.
