Ethnic nationalism is the idea that a nation exists to host the culture and sensibilities of one ethnicity e.g. Germany for the Germans, France for the French.

The only thing I don't agree with is forcing Christian Priests to marry gay couples because that goes against their faith, and that feels wrong to me. I'm not even Christian, although I used to be. Don't follow a religion anymore.

What do we do about Islam?
The religion at its core I despise. It's a religion born out of war, so can not be anything less than aggressive. However I don't think every single Muslim is inherently a bad person. Some have been swayed by western culture and their beliefs have changed to reflect that. But at that point you can't really call them true Islamists anymore, can you? Regardless, Islam at its core is a huge problem. What can be done?

Finally, despite everything, is /pol/ willing to give anyone a chance regardless of their race/background?
I don't like immediately resigning people to the fiery pits of Hell if they have one thing I disagree with. I believe in giving people the benefit of a doubt, until they start acting like a complete tool.

Honestly I know very little about it, so it's probably best to undertake my own research before making a firm decision on it.
However, I will say it seems to highlight the benefits Empire actually had on third world countries. Too many think Empire was an inherently bad thing but, towards the end at least, it was actually the opposite. You see many other formely Imperial nations just descend into total shit because they don't do anything with the resources the Empire gave them.
If anything else, Rhodesia seems to be an interesting societal experiment.

A civic nationalist is not blind to race, they just don't think it's an immutable hard line that can never be crossed. As much as it makes sense to have segregated residential areas for those whose culture/temperament require it, it makes just as much sense to have free trade zones and desegregated zones to meet business/infrastructure/educational interests. Such areas would simply require a more tightly-policed populace and a strong media/culture, in absence of shared ethnic identity.

The important thing to a civic nationalist is that it's acknowledged that my best interests are my country's best interests. I'm united to my countrymen by that shared mutual interest, and as a civic nationalist, I believe that that bond OUGHT TO BE stronger than coarse, semi-meaningless labels like "white". I've been on /pol/ since it started. I'm not certain.

In ye olden days the /new/ board was full of stormfags so moot shut it down. So the stormfags migrated to every board like some sort of internal raid. moot made /pol/ instead, as a sort of containment board.

Since other chans have emerged, with little to no moderation, and gg moderation made a complete fuck up of everything for a while, many have migrated.

I don't think the Stormfags are that numerous anymore.

The Nazi symbol has stayed because it keeps "normies" out. They see it, get triggered and leave. Those that stay, even to argue, eventually take the red pill. Theirs so much truth not being told, that people ignore because it's uncomfortable, that it makes me wonder if society can be saved.

I guess /pol/ proves theirs two ways you can live with yourself. You can either be happy or you can be correct.

/pol/ will also note genetic testing and may even respect that Ashkenazi Jews have done some of the best things for humanity in things like science and medicine. The general belief, however, is that the negatives outweigh positives.

One theme mentioned often (or, at least, before /pol/ had an influx of new members like now) was that Hitler wanted Jews to have Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu once publicly expressed his opinion on this, saying Muslims influenced Hitler to exterminate Jews instead of deporting them to a guaranteed homeland in Israel.

A lot of /pol/ members can agree with these ideas and it is taken as a given that intelligence is one factor - just like leg strength, or heart health - that is highly genetic. Aside from 80%+ heritability, Ashkenazi Jews are noted for having a cluster of mental illnesses that are within the group due to consanguinity. This is not an indictment against inbreeding, since their intelligence is so remarkably higher than other groups' and they do well among their own, but it is a sign that genetics play a large role in the historical condition of Jews being ejected from host societies.

Ultimately, much of /newpol/ subscribes to civic nationalism - a watered down set of beliefs from the nationalism that is tinged with Antisemitism - and those beliefs manifest in, say, Donald Trump in the same superficial way they do for many national socialists.

The alt-right meme was started by a certain White ethno-nationalist who got lucky as the term's innocuous label spread like wildfire with the rise of sites like Breitbart and Infowars. The msm used it erroneously for all of /pol/.

Nazism on pol is two fold.

One group see it as transgressive liberty. On a forum with true freedom of speech you should be able to promote any idea you believe in. If you aren't allowed to promote Racism and genocide it isn't a free speech forum.

Once youre allowed to actually talk about WW2 history freely you see that it's complicated. It's a fact that Jewish bankers wanted to profit off the war. Holocaust deniers have some valid questions. Etc.

This bookends with real Nazism that has nothing to do with free speech. They just want to promote ethnic nationalism. It's a type of fascism, when it's instituted the way Germany did it, but Germany always practices some form of fascism. Economic, ethnic, or otherwise.

At its base ethnic nationalism is an easy concept and a lot of disenfranchised people smart or dumb can get behind it.


This is the full circle reasoning that leads to swastikas and happy merchants being an important symbol for Pol. It attracts some Dummies, but there is some wisdom as well, and if you can't love Hitler you aren't really free.

Hitler wasn't a genius, but wasn't an idiot either. He made lots of bad military calls, but some of those can be chalked up to the fact he had some shitty advisors. I think most of /pol/ just jokes about it, the symbol works very well for shock humor and keeps normies out. I'm certain there's probably a handful of tinfoils that legitimately believe in the Nazi ideology, but I'm sure most just jokes about it. At least that's what I like to think.

This is everything I know about problems with former colonies. The biggest problem with nations that were former colonies is that they were dependent on their mother nation. African colony so and so may produce several products, but the mother nation just wants them to produce x,y,z resources. Typically they ship these back to home to refine in factories and re-sell among the home and colonial markets. So when that African nation gets freedom they aren't producing industry, or food typically and rely on just exporting a few goods to trade. If that good drops in value things get bad really quick. The country then is at the mercy of things like the world trade organization. Nations who rely on them being poor will flood their markets with cheap goods on occasion so the Africans can never start their own industries and not rely on their broken trade system. African counties run by whites after colonization did better, but they could get caught up in the cold war or just piss off the regular blacks by being ass holes. I know people here usually frown on this but end of story is that blacks and whites needed to work together. Blacks were the labor, and whites knew how to run things.
