It's a really bad OC from a bad fanfiction and autists who love her and people trolling spam her in threads and try forcing her into everything.

The Anonfilly threads are a good example. It's a simple concept, Anon has been turned into a filly (child pony) and the writefags write different adventures and misadventures about her dealing with being turned into a child horse. Nyxfags came into the threads and basically tried taking over it because no one else wanted them and the mods delete their own threads, started claiming they were sisters and stupid shit.

Anonfilly doesn't appear in the show, obviously. Many episodes will have fillies in the backgrounds of different scenes, but the main three are the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Their episodes vary from pretty good to pretty shit, it's basically hit or miss.

Stare Master, Cutie Mark Chronicles, Ponyville Confidential and Sleepless in Ponyville are all alright, if I recall correctly.

Crusaders of the Lost Mark is also alright for the most part, until the finally get their cutie marks at the end and it's shit because they're nothing more than Status Quo Marks and throws all character development and build up to any actual talent they have into the fucking trash so they can crusade for cutie marks forever, just now it's for other ponies. Their cutie marks are also eyesores that clash heavily with their designs.

I'll say this much, it has it's good and it's bad moments. Sometimes there's some really stupid decisions made about the show, such as making Twilight an Alicorn (winged Unicorn.) While it's a change I don't hate so much now as I used to, I still dislike it because I don't think it truly added anything to her character, it was just forced by the higher ups at Hasbro to sell toys. Same with her comfy old home, which was a Library built inside a tree, which has been replaced by a giant crystal eyesore castle tree.

And sometimes the writing staff make stupid decisions as well, so it's not all Hasbro. Don't go into it expecting the best thing ever, but don't expect it to be absolutely shit either.

I used to hate MLP to an autistic degree because of how extremely widespread it was, you couldn't go anywhere without seeing MLP shit. During that time I tried a couple episodes at the suggestion of some people and I didn't go in with an open mind. Eventually my personal 'tism storm faded and I found some of the fanart (and porn) was kinda growing on me, so I decided to give it a real shot and I've been with it since then.

I do wish certain poor choices regarding the show and the directions they've taken could be undone, but we're stuck with what we've got. Personally, with this extremely rare case, I prefer something settling with something that isn't nearly as great as it could be than nothing at all.

If they were just posting like normal and not making a big deal out of it or anything, they'd be fine. They were in the threads for a few months before people started getting sick of them. But the problem is when they realized they were being tolerated or even accepted, they went overboard with pushing Nyx into everything in the threads. A couple drawfags would do a request here and there for them and I think they took that as a sign they were a part of Anonfilly in as a whole. Their spamming of the threads got so bad at one point it basically became a Nyx stealth thread, so OP had Anonfilly, but most of the posts within were about Nyx.

I think most of it is trolling now, but it sucks because it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Let them stay and they fill the threads with Nyx and drive off potential newcomers, which in turn limits the amount of content the threads can generate. Try to drive them off (as if you even could on an anonymous message board) and the bickering and fighting would drive off potential newcomers, which in turn limits the amount of content the threads can generate.

In fact I think the fighting drove off a lot of people including drawfags and writefags, which is really unfortunate.

I think /mlp/ as a whole looks down upon Anonfilly now because of both sides, which really sucks, because Anonfilly was a fun idea and there were a lot of good stories started that were never finished and we seem to be getting less new content than ever before.

That and there's a lot of people saying they want to fuck Anonfilly in every thread.
