How do you stop a libertarian country from turning into a wasteland of feuding drug lords? It seems that everyone would jump into the most profitable business (drugs) and just try to outcompete each other.
>>171589
bump
>>171670
Drugs wouldnt realy be that profitable if they were lega, now would they?
>>171707
>>171670
Also companies would be able to research more fine and safer recreational drugs, and not the stones made with gasoline in some underground mexican cave
You also dont see Heinikens CEO killing Budwiser CEO simply because its not worth it, would be the same with any other recreational drug company
Everything in relation to drugs and drug war would get exponentially better
>>171589
It has been discussed on /pol) recently that libertarianism is just a smart person's cultural Marxism. How would one refute this argument? I don't like the idea that I've been secretly supporting the wrong side this whole time.
>>172020
Simple. Libertarianism is highly individualistic, while any form of Marxism is inherently extremely collectivistic.
>>172448
No one cares what you think you dirty British fuck.
>>172448
There is no way you honestly believe that horseshoe theory bullshit.
Libertarians don't push an agenda to give all power to central planners who then can run the country and people however they want- and you know that in a kingdom serfs have no meaningful rights.
>>171707
Of course they would. You can charge whatever you want if your consumer base is literally addicted to your product.
>inb4 competition
Do you know how drug empires work? The strongest guy kills off the weaker ones. Seems like libertarianism is a path to feudalism desu
>>171589
>that pony-snek
WOAH
>>172644
>>172448
This. The argument I saw is that they don't oppose the rampant degeneracy in western culture, thus they suport it by proxy. I've never seen anyone try to say they are, by definition, the same thing.
>>172448
this is 100% true. Go full national Socialist or go gome
Since the NatSocs get their own OC, shouldn't we get one? Possibly with a helicopter for a cutey mark?
>>172626
Found the shill.
>>172687
>Muh degeneracy
Yeah fuck off.
>>172626
shoo shoo D&C shill
>it took /mlp/ and /pol/ merging for me to find an actual general I agree with
Tbh if this general is actually common on /pol/ and I missed it I'm probably going to visit more often.
Excuse me, but to you by any chance consent to me violating your NAP with MY PENIS????
>>172712
>HUHUHUH HE DISAGREES WITH ME SO HE'S A SHILL HUHUHUH
Fuck off.
>>171707
This. I work in the cannabis industry of colorado & oregon majority of people send majority of their product to other states with smaller percentages going to the legal areas since it's dirt cheap
the more legal stuff is the less people will get addicted to it since it's treated as medical condition
left & right both had bad & good views on a lot of stuff
neutralizing companies grasp over internet(s), universal healthcare, and not caring what people want to fucking marry or kill inside them are good left views: none of that shit is your business unless it's your own shit
right wing is usually a lot smarter with money (rich faggots) as long as the fuckers don't put it in military
Guys, you know what time it is?
It's time
to discussroads.
>>172759
What does dilation and cutterage have to do with ugly Brits?
>>172769
the reason people think that poster is a shill is they are using the typical divide and conquer thread of turning people against eacfhother HURR HURR DIRTY BRIT DIRTY ANGLO NOT WHITE
>>172769
No, you used some random stereotype as an argument.
Which is the worst kind of fuckery.
>>172833
Tbh I agree with these guys
Stereotypes are bad :^)
>>172687
Arguing that inaction is indirect support therefore the ideology is flawed is absolutely ridiculous. Consider this:
You're not currently out on the street beating communists, therefore you are supporting communism by proxy.
You're not currently feeding the hungry, therefore you support starvation by proxy.
You're not currently having a child with your wife, so you support the extinction of your race by proxy.
See the problem here?
>>172905
I never said that I thought the argument was sound. I know these are extremist tactics used by shills and turbo autists
>>172934
That was a legitimate point though ...
>>172927
But you used the argument
FINALLY a /lrg/ thread on this board
>>172448
its not about blaming the other. Marixism tries to fix human greed and inequality by attempting to make everyone equal. Libertarian ism says fuck being equal, lets use our greed and use capitalism to reward our greed by meeting the demands of people and if they fail it's on them not the government.
Literally no ideology is better than Libertarianism you stupid NaSoc.
>>172963
No, it was not a good point. Whereas libertarianism holds government responsible when it creates a problem and provide evidence, Marxists automatically label everything that happens they don't like as "kkkapitalist oppression." The comparison is entirely fallacious.
>>173024
I don't think you understood what the brit said, read again.
>>173080
>"Libertarianism and Marxism are the mirror image of one another. Both are adolescent fantasies. One blames all the ills of the world on business, the other blames government."
>"There's a reason it's called lolbertardianism"
Which part did I misread?
>>172793
>roads.
RRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>173156
lolbertardians are the open border and dude weed lmao faggots you frequently find in the US Libertarian Party
AnCapism actually has a sound concept and philosophy behind it whereas communism needs to perform some horseshit mental gymnastics to somehow sound reasonable
>>172687
Thats when Hoppe comes in.
>>173234
False, those are neo libertarians.
As a libertarian capitalist, most libertarians follow more Ron Paul type beliefs. You cannot have looser borders until you first demolish the welfare state. It's not a "pick whatever order you want" situation as neo libertarians believe, because loosening the borders for immigration before destroying the welfare state will make getting rid of gibsmedats impossible.
Okay, can we return to the proposal for a /lrg/ pone? The NatSocs have Aryanne, so we should have something on the table too.
>>172826
Its funny that Stormfront used that tatic to infiltrate 4chan back when /news/ was still a thing.
Really makes you think who is the real shill.
I'm pretty new to all these political ideologies. Which is objectively the best and why?
>>172793
Roads? Nothing to discuss here.
>>173493
Bastiat style minarchism. It's logically consistent, but still pragmatic enough to be realistically achieved.
>>173546
Once again, thanks, Putin.
>>173620
Thanks I guess I'll read into it
NatCap PaleoCon Meritocrat reporting in.
Representing with PaleoConservatism's literal greatest voice; Bill Whittle.
Here's a recurring general on /vip/
>>>/vip/53259
As long as Donald Trump sits in the White House, so too will this thread sit in /vip/.
Once Bill makes Firewalls and Afterburners again I'll make threads on /pol/

Of all the branches of libertarianism, why is minarchism the ideology that's so obscure and heavily criticized?
>>175129
Because anarchists don't want any governance at all, and authoritarians think there is too little government for a minarchy to be powerful. People that are political tend to fall into either the former or the latter and think that having a little bit of government, instead of huge or none, is a "death by degrees" situation.
>>172660
So you can charge whatever you want for bread and food? For living space? For water? After all these are the ultimate addictions - you will die without them regardless.
Yes, competition. And no, killing off the weaker ones is not an option when the product is legal. Take prohibition for example - how many people killed and died for alcohol during that time. You don't see anyone die because they sell cheaper vodka anymore, do you?
>>172760
It happens roughly once a week, sometimes more often. Started appearing maybe two-three months ago with any real regularity.
>>172660
Hmm... So is this what's happening to the insurance industry? I mean, you're "addicted" to being healthy.
>>173546
That is just fucking beautiful. Saved.
>>175292
Oh
>>171589
Seasteading? Wouldn't you find it difficult to go to shore to get some fresh milk or go to a nice restaurant?
>>171707
Imagine Monsanto making drugs. Now try to pretend it wouldn't be profitable.
Currently binge watching Hoppe videos, the more I see him the more I like himalso just noticed that there is no filter here for desu, with this + the spoilers this board is the shit to be desu
>>179963
Fuck me tbqh
>>179269
It's not about safe spaces so much as it's about Communism being the literal worst ideology that anyone has ever come up with. Communists literally shit up every nation they gain a foothold in; it is the only ideology that should not, under any circumstances, ever be allowed to exist in any civilized society.
Any other ideology, up to and including politicized Islam, while I may not necessary agree with many of them or want them to take root in my country, have their redeeming characteristics and deserve their own place in the world. A Britbong says he wants Monarchism for England? That's fine; it worked well for them in the past and I think as a people they're well suited to it. Fascism? Wouldn't play well in the US I think, but I honestly think that many nations, especially developing nations, would benefit from such systems. Radical Islam? I don't approve of it morally, but as long as they stay confined to their little peninsula I can live with them.
Communism, though? Communism is garbage. Literal cancer. It infects healthy nations and destroys them from the inside, and its stated goal is to do the same to the rest of the world. Physical removal of Communists from our countries is not enough, in fact; the West needs to revive its policy of ruthlessly fighting and exterminating Communist states until this cancer is finally purged from the face of the Earth.
>>179963
does desu still filter to desu here? What about senpai, senpai? Having a new board is fun.
>>180435
Ok, that answer that.
>>180435
I thought they removed the filters because .Tbh was unfiltered in some posts earlier in the thread but I didn't notice the capital letter, anyway having a new board is fun af indeed famalam. I hope it will last at least a bit longer
>>172771
>not caring what people want to fucking marry
Heh not that I have anything against it per se but I'd like it better if marriage was a private contract, if there is a state it should be here only to make sure that the terms previously agreed upon by the two parties are enforced. So in a way they're wrong because they're statists.
It's a bad idea imo to depend on the state to regulate customs as long as they don't hurt anybody. It reinforce them, they will always be late/inefficient to do it anyway and it create useless friction between people because muh democracy, it's better to let it sort itself out
>>181197
Neat, people were more cool headed here these last two days
