where did it all go wrong ?
right about the time Faust visited /mlp/ and they started moderating the board

Differnt creative and direction teams means the series lost it's original way and went on a completely different direction.
That happened.
>>30922745
she actually visited you nor/mlp/eople ?
when was this, i got out after the equestria girls movie because you're all a bunch of horse fuckers.
When Homer started making PTS videos.
>>30922730
The moment where Hasbro realized that the show was a goldmine and they choked the life out of it for money.

Additionally, the current team is trying to set up new lore while also tying up loose ends and thoroughly explaining old lore. Unfortunately, explaining away things rarely works well in fantasy unless you're going to spend hours meticulously building up the blocks of the world. That kind of world-building is fucking hard when your show has no linear sequence of events.
/mlp/'s been going to shit since it started, but Faust visiting accelerated things because the rest of the fandom found out we exist. Scruffy going nuclear didn't help. This place used to be much more isolated from the fandom, but now it seems like we get dragged into every shitstorm for no reason.
Season 1/2: First Era
Season 3-5: Second Era
Season 6/7: Third Era
Twilicorn and Glimmy are the two most significant events in G4's history and were the fundamental changes to the show that in turn changed the fandom. Not to say I mind these things, as I think they added different dynamics to a rapidly deteriorating premise, but they are indeed the reason why so much has changed.
To sum it up, Twilicorn killed the bandwagon and probably 75% of the normalfag fans.
Glimmy seems to be bringing people's interest back in my personal opinion.

" This place used to be much more isolated from the fandom"
ok yeah now it all makes sense...
>>30922934
wtf is a Glimmy
>>30922767
She visited MLPG when they was still on /co/
And they never stopped gloating about it.

WELCOME TO DHX MEDIA WE MAKE MY LITTLE PONY I THINK

>Glimmy seems to be bringing people's interest back in my personal opinion.
Starlight oly managed to break the remaining base even more than before.
Yes, she had potential, but potential alone isn't worth peanuts when she's handled by a bunch of incompetent people who after nearly 2 seasons after her debut, still cannot give her a character of her own.
Can you describe Starlight using 10 words or less, and without bringing up her Our Town past? I doubt you could.
>>30923011
Not him, but I'm giving it a shot:
Like Twilight but more socially inept.
There we go, that about did it.
>>30923011
>Starlight oly managed to break the remaining base even more than before.
Oh no, not the three shitposters!
>>30923011
Starlight's a socially and emotionally unrealized unicorn discovering her destiny.
The only people who really seem perturbed by Glimmer to the point of leaving the fandom, or pitting themselves against others who embrace her, is the loud and obnoxious minority.
>>30922730
>Tyrantlestia
>humanized only fappers
>good
Everything else was fun though.
>>30922990
What the FUCK is a PONY?
>>30922973
>being this new
Lurk moar
>>30923024
Admiting that Starlight is a Twilight ripoff isn't going to help.
>>30923471
> 2 seasons after her debut
> Still "discovering her destiny"
WOW GLIMMER!
>>30922961
>pic
What the hell was that about?
>>30923757
It took Twilight 4.5 entire seasons so I don't know what the fuck you're on about.
