That episode was written by dad, or at least, in some amount
And it's quite obvious it's his, only he can make that shit work and still give nods to the fandom without 'pandering'

I mean, there's a couple episodes here and there that does it well, sure, like stranger than fanfiction, but that's still exceptionally rare
Most episodes still stay as far away from the fandom as possible, and any continuity we have in those comes from the animators, which do a really really good job

And then again, depends on what you'd consider a 'second SoL'
Just 'memes, memes and memes' or 'seeing shit from the background'
I loved SoL and I wouldn't mind getting that again
But I sure as hell wouldn't complain about having episodes about the background chars and/or from their point of view
I don't even care which, derpy, the lesbos, the cakes, the mayor, fucking DIAMOND TIARA
