Pharynx is depicted just like bronies who hate the changelings being turned into beetles, angry and resistant to change, and acting out in immature manners with his complaints portrayed as wrong and childish.
The Changelings are all happy and better off in their lives now, showing how incorrect the brony is in his dislike of the changeling's evolution.
In the end, the Changeling hater comes around and embraces the change into rainbow beetles as wonderful and great and gives up all his complaints forever, like the show staff want the fandom to do.

The cosmetic change wasn't the crux of the episode, it was the ideological shift in the other Changelings, in the end they accepted him for who he was, he didn't change his personality at all.
In that respect, the moral of the episode was moderation in all things.
