In a perfect world, Starlight won't even be in the finale. Instead being in the EqG world, the ending line in Mirror Magic about her staying for a for a few days actually having some weight. Starlight fags not only get cucked but also get triggered that more support for EqG being canon existing.

They'll mix things up for variety's sake by having Starlight Glimmer getting kidnapped and having the Mane 6 come rescue her. Once they arrive at the Big Bad's hideout it'll be revealed that it was a trap, and they'll get trapped in a painting or something. Then Starlight will jump it of the shadows, defeat the villain, and save the Mane 6 because she had already escaped about halfway through part 2. Then the haters will have nothing to complain about anymore, because we made Starlight vulnerable and not a Mary Sue.

Starlight glimmer will become possessed by the pony of shadows; in doing so she will become the "new" pony of shadows and an alicorn, and set out to conquer all of equestria again with the real pony of shadows in her head urging her on.

She'll then go on to Beat the shit out of the princesses and worf discord with her newfound power.
the mane six will gather the EOH from the tree of harmony, but even this will prove to be not enough as she effortlessly tanks it and then beats the shit out of the mane six.

twilight will give a speech urging starlight to remember how much she learned about friendship and how its not worth all that power if she gives up all she'd gained, and the show will cut to an inside the mind battle where she fights and defeats the pony of shadows inside her, destroying it once and for all.


after the obligatory bright light and rainbow explosion of her turning back to normal, she'll be revealed to be an alicorn now, as the princess of something (Forgiveness? Harmony? Light?), and be given the Princesses old castle in the middle of everfree as her new castle, which she'll rebuild into that building shown in the S8 poster.
