Depends. There really isn't any gross out humor in MLP. In terms of being a really terrible episode, it would be carts before the ponies as it destroys the older sisters characters in so many ways and torments the CMC throughout the entire episode, despite them doing nothing wrong.

I guess its closer to boating buddies all things considered.

I don't think MLP had a splinter yet. Of course there are some very bad episodes but nothing as disgusting and insulting as the splinter.

It's extra sucky because the character itself had potential as Larson proved it, but then everything that came later was a long string of wasted potential, fuck ups and bullshit over bullshit.
