You know, I actually like this format of non-sticky episode threads. Yes, it's easy to miss the original stickies due to nostalgia, but look at it this way:

These are less crowded, sure, but in turn there's less shitposting due to low visibility and you are able to follow up the posts nicely. Plus, there's also the follow-up discussion thread that can be created after the ep is finished. When a sticky remains the whole day it becomes a real fucking mess that is hard to read easily due to high post count and all the shit in between, not to mention the high loading time in some low-end devices
