People need to recognize that Glimmer has consistently been getting some great episodes. The only other characters who rival her consistency are the CMC, but even their episodes didn't start off as good as Glimmer's episodes did.

They are great though, there isn't a single bad glimmer episode that is bad because of Glimmer. Even bad episodes like the crystalization are salvagable because the Glimmer parts were good.

No. In fact, Glimmer is one of the two major reasons The Crystalling is not a good episode (I think you can guess another one). Thing is, Glimmer subplot in TC doesn't have a point. It's virtually about nothing. Glimmer does struggle, not knowing whether her old friend will accept her, but that leads nowhere. She gets lucky and he ends up being a loser, just like herself. This is in no way satisfying. This is not what her character needed after the rushed S5 redemtion. Simply getting lucky does not add anything to Glimmer's character and does not contain a valid point. People say Sunset and Starlight are the same character, but the thing is, Sunset had to actually do something to earn the respect of others after almost killing them. Glimmer simply got lucky, and TC only serves to cement that. Easily the worst two-parter.

No, the initial problem is Starlight worrying about Sunburst accepting her, so she lies. But Sunburst lies too, so now Starlight is not the only one to blame, making it easier for them to make amends. This, just like the reason behind the two falling apart, may give episode some value on its own, but it's a part of a larger arc, not a standalone work of fiction. This conflict might have been more engaging had it uprisen between some random characters with no other arcs, but for all intents and purposes, after S5 finale, Starlight had so many interesting aspects to cover that resorting to what they gave us seems like a cop-out.
