This desu. I'm usually very critical when they mistreat her character, but I honestly didn't find anything wrong with her characterization in this episode. Even the cave in was in character, it's the same kind of reaction that she had in Sonic Rainboom or Secret of My Excess, when her friends are in danger and she's the only one fast enough to "save" them, she acts without hesitation. I think that the fact that this time it was a bit dumber shouldn't be a problem, nor detrimental to her, if she was always perfect in her heroic actuations, she'd be boring.
