It annoys me, because MLP has so much potential to be this deeper, more epic high fantasy world, especially with the new movie art style.
I'm really hoping that the film has slower, deeper scenes. A film can be really good without gratuitous action/violence, and also be appropriate for everyone, even if things are more emotional. Obviously you have to make it fun to, and there is a limit to how dark it gets, but I almost hope the film gets pretty sad/real at some point.

I do sometimes wonder how Twilight would react to the idea that our academia is so specialised that it's impossible to be up to speed and on the cutting edge of more than one or two scientific disciplines of the dozens that are actively studied.

I have a system I call "pony power". Pony power is essentially power to keep me strong wherever I go. Every day at work (retail), I make sure I walk around the store and see the pony merch we have. Seeing pony merch fills my pony power meter a certain amount, and then that power decays over the course of the work day, at least until I obtain more power. Bigger pieces or displays of merch give off more power, and the closer I get to them, the more power I gain as well. There are even multipliers! Wearing pony merch multiplies the power even further. For instance, having a Twily blindbag figurine in my pocket applies a 3x multiplier to the pony power. The more merch, the more multiplication. This is legitimately the only thing that gets me through my days at work and When I forget to look at the merch or bring along Twily it makes me very sad
