Mares vastly outnumber stallions in the pony world. They say that women slightly outnumber men in the real world, but as we all know it, all of the onus is still on men to approach and wow women for their attention.

I do. Depending on the situation, it might take a little while, but I've made it a point to have that face-to-face conversation with every girl who I really liked since high school.

It's been a few years since anyone's really caught my eye, though. Scheduling any meetups or dates is an incredible pain in the neck on top of our schedules, and that seems to be the most important problem.

That's pretty often how things work, historically. The way the male population is reduced is usually wars or starvation, so you might want to hope for a non-genocidal way of doing this. Men will probably still have the responsibilities of the world on them, but women will likely be more receptive and welcoming if they have to deal with the idea that they might not be guaranteed an easy ride through life.
