Hard to deny this. Other cartoons have disappointed me as of late, but I'm so glad to see this and Adventure Time still going strong so late into their runs. MLP has had much more consistent quality than AT, though.

Keep in mind I'll be talking about two measures of a show in this post, enjoyment and quality. These are not the same things and it's important to make the distinction.

Game of thrones is easily of a higher quality than MLP. It has a far higher production value, more intricate stories and characters. At least, the first few seasons did. These past few have been absolute ass, even worse than MLP I'd argue. Anyway, I digress. Yes, game of thrones may have a better quality than MLP, but that in no way makes it better than MLP. Think about a 'so bad it's good' movie. I'll use 'The Room' as an example. The quality of that movie is piss poor, possibly some of the worst in movie history. The thing about it is that it's incredibly enjoyable. It may have a shit quality, but I'd take it over and deep, well produced arty film any day of the week. It's far more enjoyable. That's the thing about MLP. It may be worse than game of thrones in the technical aspects, but it's far more enjoyable to watch.

Gravity Falls was also a great show, OP. I've also watched a few episodes from the first season of Star VS and it seems pretty good, too. I'm getting really tired of the CalArts noodle arms aesthetic, though. That's where MLP trumps everything else for me. Its art style is gorgeous.

There are a few other cartoons on this decade we can objectively compare with the quality of MLP in terms of lore, character design and development, humour, general writting...
Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Star vs. TFoE, Steven Universe, and (maybe?) Gumball, to name the top ones on the list.
However, I could agree that no other occidental animation in this decade so far can compare with MLP in three things: musicalization, moral value contribution, and impact on popular (but mostly, Internet) culture. On these three issues, specially on the last one, there'll be a before and an after MLP.
