honestly, the entire villain team up makes no sense; all these characters HATE eggman;

Zavok and the zeti want to murder him for enslaving them, Chaos beat the SHIT out of eggman before, shadow... okay, shadow MIGHT work with him, and Metal sonic hates being "discarded" by him.

there's gotta be some sort of time paradox/mind control shit going on for all those characters to be working for him again.
