Life is not the most meaningful thing just because we are the only sapient beings in this immediate area of the universe capable of throwing together our own ideas of what meaning may or may not actually be. Life has constantly been brought into and snuffed out of this world since before we were around to philosophize about it, and it's been just as mundane now as it was back then. It's not beautiful, it's not terrible, it just... Is. Sure, we can attach a higher purpose to the idea of life since we are thinking beings capable of doing so, but in the end, that meaning is a thing of our own creation and not necessarily real. Just like our concept of the passage of time. The universe doesn't recognize "minutes", or "good" or "evil" or an inherent value to life.

All that stuff just... Is. It's there. If you want to attach meaning or value to it, then yes, you can use the power of your thinking mind to come up with a kind of meaning for it, but that meaning will only exist for the duration of your life, or I suppose when mankind gets wiped out and there is no higher mind left to observe meaning, and the concept of life becomes as mundane as it was before we were around to revere it.

I definitely agree on the fact that yes, there is enough birth control that it is hard to accidentally get pregnant. But there is one factor that I believe would be acceptable to terminate. Rape. In the case someone is raped I believe that it is a acception to terminate it. Now, I know there's a morning after pill but in the case that fails I believe it would be alright to terminate the embryo. Would you rather a mother be abusive to the child, or not be able to properly provide a stable home, or in the worst case kill it, vs not putting it through such treatment.
