She seems like an overly serious person who has trouble connecting with normal civilian life and believes she cant ever be wrong. This can get really annoying after a while. I'm not a fan of her accent either. She cares little for her physical appearance and probably doesn't smell too pretty. Twilight, because she's married to her job, whether that was being Celestia's student or a friendship princess, she has no time for you.

As Celestia's student:
During the day she's too busy studying magic, making plans or doing things with her other friends. Her overly regimented lifestyle (Pre-It's About Time) leaves little leeway for anything. At night, you can't really do anything with her because the Treebrary is essentially one large room and Spike lives right there, he can be pushed off on her friends occasionally, but again, she'd be planning stuff pretty strictly and that would wear on a relationship.

As Friendship Princess:
She's got obligations to fulfill, a table sending her and her friends all over Equestria every other week for what we can assume to be days for travel time. She's a lot more laid-back and less strict about how she does things, but her status is going to draw a lot more attention to the two of you. Everyone will be watching what you do and you may be dragged to high class events with her, or she'll be dragged off to them without you. All of these things wear on a long term relationship and the stress would show. You'd both have to learn to smile and wave and bury the problems so someone doesn't notice and decide to do a spreadpiece on the Princesses failing relationship. The whole thing would start to feel fake and you'd drift apart.

There's no objectively worst waifu, Twiggles is pretty appealing, but there are too many obstacles to overcome with her to make the relationship work well.

I'm sure there's an element of truth in what you're saying here, and I would be lying if I said that I haven't considered it before.

That being said, we share a lot of intrests and if I were in a relationship with her I would do whatever I could to make her workload lighter and work alongside her if I could.

In my opinion saying that she's a bad waifu for this is like saying that Mrs. Cake is a bad waifu. She's tied to her passion, sure, but Mr. Cake made it work because they're both passionate about the same thing and at the end of the day they're both passionate about each other.
