What's your opinion about OCs?
What you don't like to see on someone's OC?
Do you have one?
Which do you think is best kind of pony for making one; Unicorn, pegasus or mudpony?
>Pic unrelated because what the fuck can i post with this.
Best kind of pony for making one is alicorn. A red and black king of darkness shadows alicorn who can summon the dark blood death beasts and shadow monsters ahhhhhhh

every character ever made is an OC to someone.
>>30695839
Is that pony in the OP pic your OC?
She has a stupid hat.
>>30695839
OCs are fine. Ponysonas are autism.

>>30695862

>>30695866
I never knew what Ponysonas are, could you explain It?
>>30695839
>What's your opinion about OCs?
Some are well made with thought put into them like Little Pip, others are rather plain/uninteresting. But they're fine overall.
>What you don't like to see on someone's OC?
Cliche's, I mean come on at least try.
Bad color combinations.
>Do you have one?
Pic is the only drawing I've made so far and in a long time, but can't stop feeling as if she's missing something.
>Which do you think is best kind of pony for making one; Unicorn, pegasus or mudpony?
Whatever floats you boat, man.

A ponysona is turning yourself into an OC, a selfinsert per se.
>>30695839
OCs, sure. Like when they are used to represent a certain character archetype or embody a meaning/idea or are just really well thought out characters.
Ponysonas, no. Those are legit cancer.
>>30695839
Good OC is one that tries to fit within the setting as seamlessly as possible, while still heaving a personal touch that makes it interesting, even if only to creator itself.
I did create few, mostly for rpg purposes.

>tries to fit within the setting as seamlessly as possible
What if going against the norm is part of their character?
>>30696681
Then it should be plausibly explained why they are as they are, otherwise character comes off as nonsensical, special snowflake or even unintentionally satirical.
>>30695839
I like horse-wife because I want a horse wife.
Not, like, for real though, but in terms of day dreams.

Incoming opinion!
It REALLY depends on how much effort is put into both the design and personality of the character.Self-inserts are only passable to a degree as long as it's not a blatant "Ima gaemurr so muh poney has ecksbax kuntroller kootie mark" and shit like that.
As for do i have one? I have a whole gallery of them, ranging at abour 15+ total because of a chat RPG i've invested the past 5 years of my life.

Cont.
Whether the OC is a magic flinging cunt, a flying weather controlling dick or a rock breaking muddied hoofed pony is irrelevant, it's up to one's taste.
Alicorns however...uh...they REALLY need a very detailed and proper REASON to be one other than "i want to fly and use magic" or "bcuz preenzess twily-s long lost third cousin fourth removed who also is a twin sister to celestia and has luna as a wife, while fucking candyass behind shining cuckhole's back" and other low-quality retardation.Alicorn OC's get the mary-sue clause thrown at them a LOT and with good reason. So if you want someone to not outright barf from it, you REALLY gotta flex that creative muscle.

I think that might be Faust's OC.Don't quote me on that.
