I don't know why but recently there's been a ton of channels popping up making thousands of generic kid videos with popular cartoons characters, most of them being nursery rhymes.
For some reason, a lot of the videos on these seemingly out of nowhere channels are some really weird shit obviously not intended for children, like this little piggy but the piggies are zombie Donald Trump in a bikini

In case you're wondering, most of these are made by AIs at this point. Abusing the youtube algorithms, pumping out "content" at an absudrd rate to stay on top of the "charts", trying to get 5 year olds to randomly click on their flashy thumbnails because 5 year olds don't give a flying shit about the quality of the video long as it has vaguely recognizeable shapes moving across the screen and funny sounds now and again. I don't know if that makes them more or less creepy.

You can get revenue from other sources and you can upload to other sites. Youtube is a private platform and they can do what the wish with it.

Would I prefer it if they were more laissez faire with this kind of stuff? Yea, of course. That being said I understand that that a lot of big advertisers are skittish about this kind of shit and will pull out if they feel like the moderation on Youtube isn't up to snuff.

Demonetization isn't that big of a deal. It sucks for the people who rely on monetization, sure, but they should learn to diversify like any sensible person would.

If you want something to groan about then groan about restricted/limited videos on Youtube. Demonetization is just the free market at work.
