I love that delay on the solos. makes it sound trippy. I feel like the vocal harmonies I included could be more prominent throughout the song. Especially during the Starlight/Queen Chrysalis confrontation part, some of the verses, "and rule with an iron hoof", and "there is nothing you can think of" part. But I see it's a demo mix, so you do what you gotta do. Other than that, decent mix. thanks!

Been working on this song for a week or so and I feel this album needs some more Blues. Specifically, the Mississippi Delta flavor.

I have the instrumental down more or less, and I am working on the lyrics. Not sure what theme I want for the lyrics of the song, Not much of a lyricist, or for that matter, a singer.

So, if anyone has any clue what the theme of this song could be, I would appreciate it if you lent me your ideas.

Also, I cant sing worth shit, so if anyone would like to sing on the lyrics to this song that would be wonderful.

Here is the song, this is just a rough draft for now. Also, when ever there is a quieter part to the song, that's where i will shove in some lyrics.

I can see how your going for blues, but I can't help but imagine country. Like Aaron Lewis, or Jamey Johnson type of sound. Unless you can find someone who is a reincarnation of Muddy Waters. If you're going for blues, maybe play it slower.

What comes to mind when you hear this song? Like I said, I hear country. So my mind is thinking of appleloosa, or sweet apple acres or something along those lines. Maybe think of the Cajun ponies? If you come up with something, maybe I could help with lyrics.

huh, never thought about this sounding like country... I always thought that melody seemed at least blues-ish. With the 7th's and dissonance in the chords and what not. Hell i'm using an open G tuning also.

But i think the genre will sorta define itself once the lyrics are put into place. Cause then your song gets a structure to it. Anyway, yeah Appleloosa does get my mind going. With the lyrics to this song, I was thinking of something domestic to sing about. As in, something relating to the struggles of relationships or poverty. So really, whatever genre it is, I want the lyrics to convey some sort of suffering.

This song is still a rough draft after-all.

For my mics I use an AKG p170, and an AT2020 with a muffle guard thingy.

When you mention the 7ths, I do hear a bit of blues. Of course, I think of traditional blues. Idk, I've had country in the mind recently. Prob doesn't help. Still sounds nice.

I just thought of something. What about the appleloosians dealing with the buffaloes? Or the rough life living in a town like Appleloosa (out in the middle of nowhere)? You'll figure somethig out.

And thanks on the mics. I really need a new mic. Mine sucks and is cheap

Appleloosians out in the country is very fitting for the song, but the first thing I thought of when I listened to this instrumental was a side of Trixie that is rarely explored, and that's her wandering and traveling self, going from place to place pulling her home everywhere she goes and by herself.
This instrumental made me think of what it must be like to be to live such an explorational, difficult, and perhaps lonesome life like Trixie's.

Can't really hear if it sounds good/"mixed well" through the speakers. Definitely can't hear bass or bass drum.
Also, I know that one of the chords is less than good, namely what's currently a C#m.
Any suggestions for a better chord? The current progression is: A6 B6 EM7 C#m/F#.
