Casually interested, but the redesign for the movie makes my waifu look a lot younger which scares me. I am also not a fan of the action episodes and 2 parters so I don't think this movie will be great for me.

I don't know. I'm a waifufag too, another Dashfag, and I know that if I she looked younger, it would be a bit creepy. But to be honest I don't see them younger in the movie than in the show. Maybe depending on the scene, but there are moments in the show where they look "younger" in a way too. Maybe >>30674083 is a good example, she's excited like a little girl, if you saw only that scene you could misinterpret it, but if you know her, you know that she's not a little girl. I guess (or I hope) that in the movie that feeling that she's "younger" will fade away as soon as you see her acting like she usually does.

The doomposters and pessimistic circlejerkers are just an extremely vocal minority. They are on /mlp/ pretty much 24/7 to make sure that each thread can be shitted up.

I blame the Sony leaks for the pessimism. What little plot we were able to gleam from the email sounded like everything the fandom has been asking for for a long time. It set people's expectations for years because that's all the information we had.
Now some people are disappointed we're getting something completely out of the blue instead of something that answers those burning questions from the show.

At the very best they can use that plot for some TV movie or the actual show. Pushing a worldwide cinema screening for a movie that can only be understandable by people who watched 5-7 seasons of the show would bomb harder than the Emoji Movie.

DESU I'm not a huge fan of the 2-Parter episodes and the "huge epic storyline" ones, so my hopes are not too high. But I'm still gonna see it.
