Answering this honestly, Glimmer would logically be the one who be the best choice. I'm not an anti-glimmerfag, but seriously think about what she contributes to the show, not just for entertainment, but in-universe situations.

Rarity owns multiple shops and represents generosity, that's a plus.
Pinkie Pie is constantly trying to cheer people up and put them in a good mood.
Applejack runs a farm which supplies produce to many shops and towns etc.
Fluttershy takes care of animals who need a home.
Twilight is a princess.
Rainbow Dash is expendable military.
Glimmer doesn't actually do much aside trying to learn how to not be a sociopath. She doesn't contribute anything to society in any way. Now personally I don't mind her, but out of all of the M6/7/8(shimmer Eqg, whatever) she's the one who "deserves" to live the least.

I disagree.
1.) Glimmer may not be doing much contributing now, but she is a good pony in-the-making and does not deserve to die the most on the fallacy that she's nopony important right now.
2.) She actually does contribute. She made a friend, Trixie. Glimmer is Twilights project, and that's already a reason Glim contributes to the Mane 6 and their expectations of her.
Basically, Glimmer is just as equally important as anypony else. Not everyone can see it, but everypony contributes to society advancement in some way.
3.) Having """"""""important""""""""" duties or contributions shouldn't be armor from death.
Important, or cared-about individuals dying is a GOOD THING. Why? The shock on everyone else around brings about love and care and inspiration during this time of mourning.
No changes to the self happen without unfortunate events, challenges, or pain.

So basically, no one individual has a right to die more or less than another.
Everything that happens has a balancing after.
