The Emoji Movie is now out. Let us remind ourselves that for all of MLP: The Movie's faults so far (furries, the goddamn airship), it could be worse.
SO. MUCH. WORSE.

Holy fuck that was close.
They're making a Bible thumper cartoon next which will bring in a fuck tonne of money from the Spics. So I guess they finally learned their lesson.

So what is the explanation behind this? I know it's from that one website with the leaked emails(i don't know how that even happened), but what is this? A reaction to an early script for a MLP movie?

The emoji movie is great, everyone knows it's shit, even the marketing team acknowledges it's garbage, they made that movie ironically, probably to get a hold on emoji merchandise, it's fucking brilliant.
Whereas the pony movie has expectations it won't be able to meet.

No matter how much you meme it, it was never "close".
Hasbro approached Sony for distribution, not production or development. This email is a private chain between Sony employees conversing amongst themselves, or rather one person proving once again that mobileposters are pure cancer.
Interestingly, they have another thread about Larson being happy about his book doing well. The way they are talking about him makes it seem like they know him.

Too much shit has been coming out as "ironic".
>>30610156
But remember Emoji movie earn 0% from Rotten Tomatoes.

Yes. First draft supposed to be about evil alicorn who want to drive all non alicorns out of Equestria. Probably some anti-race message on top of it.

Happened when NK hacked Sony in response to that Seth Rogan film.
>>30610238
Sony is fucking cancer.

At this rate, i could pull out a "kingsman at the church" moment, and walk away saying "it was a joke dude. Totally ironic"

Who knows, maybe the plot with Cosmos would have been better. I'm not too hype for this "Tirek with lulz" villain
