I've helped build the barrier, and helped tear down the black border, and fought against the Spanish who wanted it back up, and along with botchan, we defeated them. Rogue void has always tried to make a bee line towards the pony portraits through any black lines.

Yup, Anon who fought for 6 hours here, can confirm he is back for the 5th day in a row.

I used to hate him, despite him, and swear every single time I saw him coming back again.
But now I actually feel for him..

He spends so much time one this. Probably more time than I do on creating art these days..
And what does he get for all this time? Nothing.
His pixel is simply wiped before his cooldown even runs out.

I tried to honor him, by keeping the one pixel he is persistent on changing to black, but I dont think he got me memo.
He kept expanding, and before long someone else had changed the pixel in question back to normal.

I like to think that I have a lot of free time on my hands, but when I meet people like this I also reconsider my own situation.
As someone else already mentioned, what he is doing is not very different from what we do. That's also why I see a bit of myself in him.

I want to honor him, and let him know he both caused a lot of anger from me, but also gave me a wonderful feeling of success when I finally beat him.

PixelCanvas is not only about creating art, it's also about defending this after creation.
Without people like him, the game would lose an important aspect, and for this I salute him.

He even made me consider going out and griefing a bit here and there.
Not to destroy things on the canvas, but to remember the "players" of the game the other aspect, and to hopefully give them the same feeling of achievement when their autism finally wins over mine.

I'd be willing to help with something to complete our main area. We need another banner under Lyra (a Strawpoll one?), and one last mural. I'd also help with Derpy's rump if someone picked a spot for it and started building. I really wish we had something grand like the royal battle.

In general, building stuff nowadays feels really awkward because of erratic cooldowns. I still haven't gotten used to it and quietly wish the old system were back. Because of the change to cooldowns, large works no longer seem as impressive as they used to.

Look at webm related though. Look how slowly the project was going until the end bit with the lasers. As good as it was, most people only jumped on at the very end to be part of that. I wonder if the reason activity dropped off isn't because so many people left, but more because people started doing other things, too. I'm about to go play a game with some friends and it'll be the first time I've done something not related to pixelcanvas since I joined.

When we first started, everyone felt it was so new and important and got invested in completing things. Now we're more willing to balance it out with the rest of our lives. We still usually hit around 70 IDs in a thread which isn't that much lower than where we started.

Oh shit. I seem to be the only guy gathering snapshots/making timelapses these days. I have the snapshot-taking script running on my PC, which is always on. I'm not sure I'll be able to just leave it on for over two weeks without anyone or anything interfering with the process.
They're not good for much anymore, but it's still nice to have a complete history of our area, and there's always hope that someone passionate will take over eventually and make some memorable timelapses.
