Why not just start drawing then, everyone has their own ideas and nothing feels better than to create something you enjoy, even if it's not that great at first. If you want something done right do it yourself, it worked for me and there's no reason it wouldn't work for you.

I always wanted to do something with the subterranean races in mlp and/or the underworld of equestria. D-dogs, their leader (pic related. RIP Bowie) Minotaurs, the Spiders from mars, Trolls, etc. because i just like Cave-monsters, goblins and things like that in fantasy realms. I'd write fanfics or do some artwork since i'm a decent drawfag. I was more into this during seasons 1-3

But then they just..never ever revisited Iron Will, Scorpan, Cerberus or the Diamond dogs again, and the comics went to shit so i lost all interest.

One of the ideas I had since 2013 was to make a point and click adventure/dating sim with art assets that are already available. I've tried and never stuck with it, but if anyone needs some inspiration through a workflow idea, I had one that would have worked well.

On deviantart there's the MLP Vector club which contains tons of useful SVG background vectors from the show. These frequently have the original file available which allows you to isolate specific background elements that would be great for point and click interactoins. Start by pulling the svg or ai file into inkscape. Next create separate layers for each important object you want to isolate. Then import the file with the layers into photoshop. Finally, use a unity asset that allows you to import photoshop layers as separate gameobjects into a scene to automatically have every object in the right place.

If a vector for a background doesn't exist and it's not important enough to need a full vector job, take a screenshot from the show and use Waifu2x to enlarge it. Then just use photoshop to clean up any ponies in the way and then isolate the objects you need for the game to separate layers.

The MLP vector club already has plenty of vectors of ponies available as well. Especially for important characters. so you could have lots of unique emotions for your textbox interactions. For ones that don't have a lot of emotions, simply pull out the manes/tails/eyes/cutie marks from an existing vector then recolor them in game using shaders then add in the manes and tails for the appropriate ponies. A lot of the time you should be able to find similar angled manes/tales from the character vectors that do exist so you won't even have to redraw them, just do a little bit of editing.

Using this workflow you'll be able to have 80% of the art for a point and click adventure game/dating sim already ready to go without the need to ask for any artists for help until you actually have a lot done.

Nah, just that one scene. I can hear them all singing in their voices, I can imagine everything done in EQG style, but alas, I lack the time to dedicate the countless hours necessary to mastering Flash in order to even start it. Finding voice actors to do it for free is a whole nother matter entirely, as well.

My other autistic MLP fantasy follows similar lines, but instead I imagine characters performing songs during the Battle of the Bands. I hear a song on the radio, match it to a pony, and sit back imagining what kind of show they would put on to go along with it. I have two songs in particular in mind for Fluttershy and Derpy.

There would be no audible speech, nor readable text in speech bubbles. That, combined with the primative animation, would give it a dream-like feel, which would be appropriate for what happens in the fic. The entire video would be in black pencil except for dream scenes, which would be in colour. Dream scenes would have faded borders except for the final scene, for which the white fade would gradually disappear.

That is pretty autistic, desu. But then again that's the point of the thread. Most fan made pony content is autistic. Why, I have been wanting to write a short story based on the idea of waifus.

Basically, main character has a waifu who, of course, only exists in his mind. She is a complete Mary-Sue from the get go. Each chapter is a year from the perspective of the waifu in question, who does not know she is a figment of some basement dweller's imagination. The reader is also left ignorant to this fact until about half way through the story. As the basement dweller grows older and matures he drifts farther and farther away from his escapist practices of the past and, therefore, drifts farther away from his waifu. As he matures, she becomes less of a Mary Sue as her Mary Sue aspects gradually begin to be forgotten by her creator. As time goes on she does not ever fully disappear because her creator, the basement dweller, never truly lets her go. He doesn't actively talk with her or acknowledge her presence, but he still remembers her, and she exists in her own way as a shadow of this memory. The story would end with a tearful parting, where she cries out to him to see her again and, through sheer force of will, she succeeds. I had planned to do something with the weather, i.e. it is raining and, though he is soaked, she, being nothing but an imagination, remains dry. She begs and pleads with her creator to just simply let her feel the rain, because she cannot be affected by anything without him willing it to be so. He acquiesces and the rain starts to wet her. After some sad dialogue they kiss one last time before she finally disappears, signifying that the basement dweller has finally grown up.
