The twitter pretty heavily implies its haber up there.

As for it being about the "OC's"-- they're not IDW's characters. The show made them and then gave IDW the information about them so they could try and drum up sales for the comics by using characters from the SHOW.

Season 1 was the weakest season in the show. The only biggest thing I can think of that haber changed was how cutie marks worked, and that was an improvement as to what it was before because it lets characters develop as opposed to being static.

Cutie Marks are meant to portray a characters destiny and in earlier seasons, characters knew exactly what this was once they got it. The problem with this is the premise that children knowing exactly what their destiny is really doesn't make much sense logically nor does it help to create interesting characters. It also leads to the implication that cutie marks lead to predestined out comes for all the characters, further trifling growth for characters like the CMC. Think of it this way, nearly every CMC episode from season 5 onwards would not be possible without the new interpretation.

The new interpretation makes things much more interesting, rather than cutie marks being a completely predestined they only give a 'map' to the character, from which they can try to figure out what they should do with it.

And none of them, none of them tell exactly what's going on behind the scenes or even a simple line like "Vogel wanted Discord, Vogel wrote Discord. Brian Goldner's brother's niece suggested Cadence and Mike Vogel provided the horrible execution. Larson wrote a script then it got edited by Vogel, killing 90% of the original script.

Just how fucking hard is it to give names? It makes Faust,Meghan,Larson,Renzetti and the rest look like utter nonsensical cowards living in communism because they cannot spell out a few names about who's responsible for what. Yet when Vogel finally showed his ugly face, he openly said that he's the creative vision behind the show and he wrote the movie, despite not showing up in the credits at all.
Not even Vogel openly admits that he grabs every writers scripts, throws it in the trash bin and replaces it with his own.
