The comic writers were apparently given full information about this season's plot and told to make their comics based around that.

So they're trying to drum up Comic sales by having teasers for the season in them. Nothing the comic writers came up with are affecting the show, but the comic writers are explicitly basing their ideas off what they know is coming down the pipe.
