Hasbro missed the peak of the 'brony' fad by a few years. A few die-hards will wait in line to see it on opening night but the rest of us are just going to wait for an illegal download to come available if we bother at all.

Parents who aren't scared off by greasy neckbeards will bring their kids...but it's coming out too late in the year, most of that audience will be back in school. Families with kids will see it once, and for a movie like this to be a financial success they need people coming multiple times. Should have come out in July or August.

Beyond that, who are they expecting to come pay to watch this? They spent a lot of money on big names to voice the characters, but do they really expect 'Ray Donovan' fans to come see a My Little Pony cartoon movie because it's got Liev Schreiber in it?
