Oh look! A new pony convention, and in Las Vegas!
>>30507926
Vegas is an overrated shithole
>>30507926
If I had less self respect, I'd go.
>>30507926
Not touching that. Nope.
>>30507926
>implying any cancer ridden newfag knows what Los Pegasus unicon was.
>>30507926
Ballsy. I'd want to go, if I could be sure it wasn't another trainwreck/ scam. Mainly because it's Vegas, and I'mEuropoor.
>>30507987
Las Pegasus was kekworthy
>>30507926
>going to a convention dedicated to a dying fanbase
>every SINGLE fucking pony con in the USA
God forbid such a thing would be held at least on my fucking continent
>>30508044
Sorry South America
Wait so what went wrong at the Las Pegasus con
>>30508099MONOPOLY MONEY

No Muslims allowed
>>30508099
Everything. I'd rank it worse than Dashcon.
>>30508099
There's this new invention called Google.
>>30507926
If this is really just some guy trying to hold an honest to goodness pony convention I say let him. Otherwise we could ask our other half at /pol/ to use their weaponized autism to launch a preemptive strike
>>30509211
>worse than Dashcon
Come on it wasn't that bad^:)
>>30507926
Oh boy, a brony convention in Las Vegas!
What could possibly go wrong?
>>30508099
The bozos running it grossly mismanaged or embezzled the money in a way that ended up shorting the hotel, the vendors (who lost inventory but didn't all get paid back) the attendees, and the show staff.
They had even made people buy monopoly money to use in the vendor hall that would supposedly be traded for real dollars later, which meant that attendees and vendors alike were left holding worthless fake money when it fell apart.
Once it became clear the event was bankrupt halfway though and the organizers had fucked off to Mootxico, the fans, vendors, and community guests were stuck with the bill trying to figure out WTF to do.
Hasbro was still new to there even being a fandom for My Little Pony, and was not happy about its staff getting stranded in Las Vegas about to get kicked out of the hotel. So this might have been the end of them participating in conventions.
Anyway, the only upside is the attendees stuck there fundraised among themselves and the fandom, vendors had fire sales on their inventories and chipped in, and everybody raised money to cover remaining hotel expenses and get the show staff home.

I know the altbrony guys from Whinnycity Ponycon are involved.
Conventions are closing down because of the fandom dying. What idiot thinks it's a good time to start up a new con?

Jesus fuck. That reminds me of this one Con I was watching unfold on a Facebook group a couple years back down here in Ausfalia. Gladly no longer part of that cancer anymore, but same shit happens.
Eventually got cancelled or something a week out (?) and completely fucked everyone over. Refunds were like 50% or non-existant. It was a fairly large con IIRC too.
Did we ever catch Sandy?
>>30508099
Basically a convention if it was run by Sam Hyde
>>30509901
There was a period of a few months where Hasbro declared a ban of all VAs attending cons, prior to LPU, until the VAs argued in favor of the conventions, told Hasbro they were safe and reliable, and negotiated with Hasbro to have it written into their contracts that they would be allowed to attend cons at their own discretion.
LPU was the first convention held after those negotiations. So not exactly off to a good start, if they were trying to justify to Hasbro to let them go to these things.

At some point $7500 ended up on Robert Picardo's fan club account and he gave an interview to EFN.
I forget the details but it was hilarious.

Remember when we doxxed the organizers in the following days and it turned out they were literal trailer trash?
this con was a huge success.

Please do not remind me of Sydneigh. I was on the staff for that trainwreck.
Based Salvagecon though ^:)
