Someone with power over love is a damn interesting character. One quick spell makes any ship canon or non, give any character any fetish (or take it away, probably at the funniest moment).

Power rarely means anything beyond "epic" moments against big bads, though. Even then, plot>power, seeing that she got caught just like the rest of the princesses by Chrysalis (and twice at that).

Twilight herself wasn't interesting just because she was a magically powerful unicorn way back when. It was how she used those skills and how she interacted with others that made her so. Meanwhile, there's only the barest bones of character interaction with Cadence and how her abilities apply.

Her native country was usurped by Sombra, who got his ass handed to him by the Princess Sisters, and he came back, only to have it done again by another group enlisted to her aid. She didn't bring any culture, the M6 just helped revitalize what they had before (and helped get the EQGames held there while she styled her mane the whole time.
