Thats personally how i see things, as a guy only just chiming in on this conversation.
Not remembering your dreams / not dreaming at all can really fuck with your perspective on things like consciousness and mortality.
The me right now thats responding to this will technically be dead a few hours from now.
Any me that responds will just be a me that's formed from the stored collective memory that previous iterations of my self has gathered over the years.
It's like the difference between a hard drive and RAM, for the computer nerds.
The best part is that i've grown to not care, since for better or worse i've contributed to the collective self that is 'me'

Playing myself off as a philanthropist while at the same time using mercenaries to start proxy wars which lead to a global war.
