We already know the German one used outdated clips (pic related), which could be a separate issue from the supposed export errors. It could very well have been taken down for that reason, or because it used extra footage that wasn't given trailer approval.

It is well known when a production have a large amount of VFX, the trailer will rarely be the same quality then the finished product. Most of the time, the studio just pass an unfinished, "a-okay" version for the marketing.

Have you even looked at the forms? You need to enter name and location of your cinema and the associated company, so that information is easily verifiable. It's also pretty likely most cinemas will already have some way to access the site, so that will easily be found out too.

If it were this easy, I'm pretty sure /tv/ would have plenty of accounts already and trailer leaks would be common. I'm pretty sure that's not the case though.

It's possible that the German trailer got released too early and got removed again, since it isn't available on official channels anymore and since "Despicable Me 3" just got released today. Tobis (the German distributor) just posted the German trailer to their official channel, and it still has the old/good shading.

(the only difference is that the original upload by Paterson-Entertainment AG didn't have the cinemascope black bars, and this version is letterboxed)

So probably the video was removed from everywhere else because the distributor wants to have all the views from the German audience on their channel. Anyway, I'm much less worried now.
