I love how the toy cards and these story books give the ponies so much personality, while in the actual cartoon you can't even tell them apart from each other.
I'd like /mlp/ to come up with their own short simple stories which make their background ponies, ocs, pony of choice feel filled to the brim with personality.
As you can see the writing is really simple, yet effective.
It can be humorous, badass, interesting. For some reason all of these pre G1 cartoon children's story books are extremely funny when taken out of context. I'll post some.
Exploitable.

Here's 3 entire sheets filled to the brim with G1 character descriptions. They're even more eloquently written than the originals and with far more liberties taken compared to the originals.
BACKGROUND HORSE BTFO
But seriously, this is cool, op. They're as cute as the g4 ponies done this way, but like a different kind of cute.
If they started over with new characters for a g4/g5 reboot, I wouldn't mind seeing some of them be the mane characters.
But hasbros writers are shit. Maybe by then though I'll be in the entertainment industry.

Self note for future improved threads: Find an OP pic which has colors.
Find a better subject for the OP.
Any suggestions? I mean the thread's idea is really good. Even the laziest and most uncreative people should be able to write a lot of appealing simple children's stories.
He's Danny Devito as a pony.
