Dark and foreboding, but that's partially context and not necessarily something inherent to Luna. At least the foreboding bit. I can definitely see her as a fan of the cello and violin and other bowed string instruments, however. Probably simpler stuff than a full orchestra, but who knows.

While the other mane6 are afraid of rumors and hearsay about Zecora or outright silliness "I heard she eats HAY!", Rarity makes an actual observation and labels her coat as "garish".
Dog and Pony Show, apparently worse than chaining her up, the diamond dogs calls her a mule. Of course Rarity is greatly exaggerating to get her way with the diamond dogs, but she goes as far as saying "mules are ugly".

This can be contrasted to how Twilight apologizes for using a racially loaded simile in Applebuck Season when she says Applejack is "stubborn as a mule" and never does again, or Dash in Hurricane Fluttershy, "Be cool or be mule", and never does again. Both Dash and Twilight are overheard by a nearby mule, and both apologize on the spot, saying they meant no offense.

As for Luna...
Since both Dash and Twi use "socially outdated" slurs in common speech, the argument could be made that until very recently this kind of behavior WAS socially acceptable.
So, either racism was widespread in Luna's time, lessened over 1000 years, and was finally "officially" gotten rid of a a few years before the show starts.
Or, perhaps more likely, Celestia had her hooves full and wasn't so bothered by the status of lesser races (she is rather distant, having far more important things to worry about... She's not even aware her own name is a saying), and it's actually Luna who issued a decree upon her return to make them full-fledged citizens.
It also makes sense that Luna would issue such a decree, Luna knows first hand what loneliness and being an outsider can do to you.

Now, if someone or something refuses to bow down to Luna? I think that's the instant her moment of grace ends.

I've never visited an RGRE thread, just the name didn't sound like something I'd be interested in, but if there's some Luna content (which this thread has none of) I'd be interested and this lunigger is just gonna immediately dismiss it, like come on

RGRE has a running conversation about an evolving prompt where Anon is banished to the moon along with Nightmare Moon. Anon and NMM establish a society of their progeny. Someone else suggested all followers of NMM were banished as well so the society is a mix of Anon X NMM progeny and their followers progeny. I like one variant where Anon and NMM moon are call the All-Father and All-Mother. I'm hoping some kind of green comes out of it all.
