With Cupcakes and Party of One coming out near the same time, it was kind of unavoidable. Hell, that's why straight-mane Ponk is so commonly the edgy one when in reality it's Floofy Mane Ponk that's the edgelord in Cupcakes. Edgy Pinkamena, is so, so hot. Fuck.

Ruby found the ruby and got her magnifying glass cutie mark. They saw her cutie mark and threw her in the fireplace in one of the houses, burning her alive. They viewed the cutie mark as a curse. Obviously for killing one of their own they ended up being cursed regardless.

I enjoyed it. Pretty sure I saw a Let's Play first and then did a playthrough myself. Favorite part was how in the end the entire event was portrayed as just another relic of the past.

I skimmed the code but there doesn't seem to be anything unusual or hidden. Not to say it's sure there isn't but I didn't find anything. It lists 32 maps (calls to this GetIngame GetMaps AddMap to be precise) but I can't decipher what the numbers sent to the function mean. The Nightmare class is interesting in that it has a Boolean "dangerous" variable, for Mitta at the end of the game. What's weird is that Grey Hoof (his name is written w/ an 'e' in code) also has dangerous disabled (as well as chasePlayer set to false). Every other character has dangerous set to true. Also the Dialogue class has all the dialogue lines in the game and nothing more.

Donitz actually worked on the Blanks2. He had the code and story for it, but he was lacking the 16-bit graphics.

I asked him for it way back in 2011 and honestly it was shit. You played as Sweetie Belle in ponyville, then as the 3 CMC. The ruby became a major plot point yet again, but he rushes and cliche'd the story, he turned it into pony cults trying to get their cutie marks through voodoo satan magic and blood pacts.
And the ending was unsatisfying as shit. The ruby becomes some gem of power which shoots projectiles and then Mitta saves your ass again, ending the blanks permanently but in a very questionable, awkward, dialogue-driven way without any real action.
It was a giant shit and it's best that it wasn't finalized.
