Well, let's look at this from a reasonable anon's POV.
Yes, there is such a thing.
Assuming Daybreaker was real instead of a character in Starlight's nightmare, and did have the power levels and temperament shown.
You have to start by examining the evidence and drawing a logical conclusion. In the dream, Daybreaker is shown kicking the flank of NMM, settling in on her throne, and setting things on fire. Pyromaniac, much? Her dialogue suggests that she would take delight in terrorizing her subjects for teh evulz. Even suggesting some Molestia-esque variant, she would not exactly be fun to live under the rule of.
Conversely, we have a good deal more evidence in favor of NMM, as seen in the episode with Twilight and Starlight effing around with time. NMM had a stable queendom, if Rarity's remark is to be believed. There was no starvation, the plants didn't die off, and no accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Instead, there was tourism, and at least enough of a textile industry that the tapestries could be replaced more often than Nightmaid Rarity liked. See picture.
It's pretty clear which one a sensible anon would choose to serve.
