Fuck, remember Canterlot Wedding? An awful concept forced upon her by Hasbro, which she turned into a halfway decent two-parter involving a changeling invasion and even a fight scene (up to this point, the most violent a pony had been was a kick brought up by Faust).
If it wasn't for Canterlot Wedding and the precedent McCarthy set, I'm not sure we'd even see this movie. At least it would be VERY different.
