Sparity with Emberspike might also be written as the criticism about romance exposed with SugarMac, in which "first crush" doesn't mean it is your "destined love", and that you can fall for someone who understand you more or something. In this case Spike relaise that his bond with Ember might be closer than his physical attraction to Rarity. Again this ship is like with Marco/Jackie-->following Star/Marco.

This is worse than Sparity and as much not happening. Starlights only choice is either Sunburst, Trixie or Thorax. I predict Thorax will bond with Trixie in the new episode while Glimmer will get closer to Sunburst. Spike will get teased with Ember in the second episode.
