I wanted to know why is Twilicorn hated?
I'm not talking about hating on MMC.
Not talking about hate for the castl.e
Not about ppl hating her current personality
I'm talking about hating on the sole fact that she has wings. Shitstorms started before MMC aired, before the castle appeared and before her personality changed.

So exactly, why the hate on Twilicorn itself? Not what derivated from it.

Because of what it represented. You can't talk about Twilicorn hate without talking about most of the things you said not to talk about.

The biggest reason is probably because it made Twilight reach what was commonly thought to be the endgame of the series: her ascension to princesshood/power/becoming Celestia's successor. It elevated her above the other Mane 6 members and it was kind of like "Crap... Where do we go from here?" Plus wings/alicornication was never explicitly part of Faust's plans for her.
