As Inky Rose had said. The show been stale for a while now. Complete disregard of the lore elements and bringing the show to a more modern setting about Las Vegas abd Indian restuarants quickly killed of the fantasy and lore fags. Now only waifufag remain or shippers.

The question is why she's even thrown in there in the first place. Why disrupt the original formula? Regardless of all the "glorious" character building or whatever, she is literally shoehorned into the show for no good reason. If she had a role more like Discord, a reformed villain but still casually on the side and not overtaking any of the Mane 6, I have a feeling that she wouldn't be hated as much.

There's no question about that at all. It's because the mane 6 have reached the end of their series arcs, and they needed someone new to pass the torch to. The formula was on the verge of getting stale.
