Wow I knew this place was autistic but I forgot how petty it was/is.

In the past few years I've been keeping up with ISIS, and the Syrian Arab Army and the Kurds and the Christian Assyrians, ect like they're sports teams and watching all their propaganda videos and even was ready to join on of the "non-terrorist" groups at one point, but spent my plane ticket and rifle money on drugs and booze instead. Between keeping up with that, the invasion and terrorism in Europe, the little wars in Ukraine and the Philippines and the occasional beta uprisings (like this guy pic related who I guess was a brony among other things) I've had a very skewed outlook on life lately. To think that a community can be so divided about something that isn't rooted in philosophy or politics or economics or ancient tribalistic bloodshed is alien to me now.

But I suppose that's just a testament to both my and /mlp/'s wicked bad auts. Also since we're taking sides EQG can go fuck itself. That shit ain't pone, dig?

I'd agree it means nothing here. But once you start to understand the history behind the groups, you understand and don't care that their names keep changing because you know who they truly are and it becomes an epic story that spans the length of thousands of years. Much better to know the lore of human history than that of MLP or Lord of the Rings or Fallout or whatever else.

Twilicorn still irks me and EQG just felt like an attempt to wriggle into the niche of Bratz and Barbie dolls. Ah, who am I kidding... I'm just as autistic as I was before I left. I can see how this causes a divide. Especially when you got scruffy imposing the Man's laaaw and the generals being banned and extra rules being piled on.

When I try to picture there being more than one Nyxposter, I picture that scene from Princess Mononoke where those guys disguise themselves in boar's skin, except they're wearing Nyx skins, large glasses and purple scarves, and Nyxposter Anon is slowly being corrupted by Nightmare Moon demons and shouting "Forward, my Nyxposters!" not realizing they're only on his side to shitpost.

I skipped a lot of episodes, so I mighta missed some important details, but as far as I can tell Starlight Glimmer is divisive 'cause of the following

>Becomes Twilight's student after only being in 4 episodes
>Is at least as powerful as Twilight Sparkle, an alicorn that was personally mentored by a millennia old demi-god and whose Cutie Mark is literally "Magic."
>Directly takes Twilight's role as "Mage learning about friendship"
>Takes a lot of screen time away from Mane 6
>So autistic that she doesn't see how magical slavery is bad
>Lot of time spent worrying about how her past will effect her relationships
>Ran a cult that kidnapped and tortured people, forgiven so quickly that when she returns to her hometown they immediately ask her to manage their lives again


There's also some mixed shit, like her tendency to spaz out and use super powerful magic or her over-reliance on magic. They let her fuck her in ways the other characters can't, which gives the writers more options, but it can lead to some annoying face palm moments. It gave us an episode where we got an idea of what Luna and Celestia are doing all day, but the way it happened was super forced and yet another example of some random schmuck being more powerful than the two ancient demi-gods.

Ah, the whole Glim Glam war is bigger than any other war this fandom has seen.
Although we could separate factions in two big groups (pro glimglam and anti glimglam), I would like to point out there that anti glimglams are a conglomeration of many other smaller groups: sunset shimmer fags, nostalgia fags that think season 2 ruined fim, lauren fags (which follow whatever lauren faust is up to), anti twilicorners, mane 6 purists and glim glam haters, just to name a few.

Now, the most common excuse to hate on glimglam is "she was poorly developed". Can't really tell for sure since I'm not an expert on character development.
She's a unicorn that managed to get on a one-on-one fight with twilight after twi and friends spoiled her plan to have a socialist village in mid of fucking nowhere and is the first villain on FiM to not get blasted by a fucking rainbow and instead being talked into withdrawing from destroying equestria (which she managed to do many times in a time loop a la dr. Strange) and actually joining the team to reedem herself.
She's besties with The Great and Powerful Trixie.

Episodes are talked to death very quickly in the span of a few days, and having the board split between accelerated pony and the on time releases recently didn't help. It also does not help that there is no kind of safe way or thing to talk about in the show that won't cause some Anon to tear the thread down in an autistic rant about Hasdroning or Faustfaging that other Anons will not immediately bite on as well.

You missed the ride ending. Without Lauren Faust and M. A. Larson the show's script quality deteriorated rapidly. If you grew attached to the characters watching any further is likely only to make you sad.

Be prepared for enormous plot holes, little or no continuity, constant retcons for the sake of a throwaway gag, characters going wildly OOC just for the lulz, and in Season 6 Purplekorn gets hustled offstage by a "reformed" villain named Starlight Glimmer who literally tried to destroy the literal fucking world with time travel paradoxes and nearly succeeded. But it's okay because she said she was sorry. And she's the new protagonist. I shit you not. People who had been able to maintain enthusiasm for the show up to this point decided she was the franchise's Poochie.

Or you could just read fanfiction and pretend nothing after Season 1 is canon, like the rest of us do.

So, let me point out a few important things that have happened and you might have missed.
Btw, things aren't in any chronological order.

As for ponka and aj, neither has had any development. Actually, ponka has turned more annoying with the time.
