I think he knows he isn't the greatest and doesn't have a very good reputation, but keeps getting work because he has a style that some people like for some reason. He hasn't improved in 7-8 years. Everyone I know that has talked to him says he has absolutely no passion for art at all and everything is just a paycheck.

Because IDW stopped caring about Ponies awhile ago and Fosgitt delivers quickly and without demanding large amounts of pay.


IDW seems to resent pony now, since they can't get their own IPs off the ground and ponies are their top selling comic. They don't have a passion for it because its not THEIR work, so they don't want to give it their A game.
