Blame it on her being shoehorned into a single season as a character to fill Twiggy's shoes.

If the Glimglam stuff happened in season 4 and we got a couple of Glimglam episodes a season with Twiggy as the replacement for Celestia then it'd work. The problem we have is that Glimglam got both the start and end of season 5, then got the start and end of season 6 with episodes inbetween that were all centred around her solving problems solo.

If we'd got her in season 4 and given her the season entry for 4 and 5 with her season 5 stories and slowly dripped her in as Twiggy's replacement then it'd work but they struggled immensely after listening to the fan base and settling on just shoehorning 2 more seasons of Mane 6, who had to be repeatedly flanderised and dumbed down to make them entertaining again, not to mention the CMC getting shit mode cutie marks instead of just pushing the musical band side.

Basically the fans ruined MLP by proxy because they won't allow change when change is needed. Could have had a comfy season 5 where we introduce a new Mane 6 in episodic manners but instead they ram it all into season 6 and ruin it with the MUH CHANGELINGS ending of them all being reindeer gaypride poners.

They need to work out season plots in advance. Atm it feels like they are just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks and the only thing that does is waifus and reference memes.
