It just dissapointing that nothing in the movie will carry on to the series. Not a single villain, side character, heroic deed made by mane6. Not a single new friend of mane6 or Spike will be remembered. Its basically a dream episode.

At the end of a day it will never matter what happened in that movie. Won't matter how much you love new princess of Sea Ponies or Storm King or Shadow Tempest. It will be their last appearances like of the Dazzlings.

That was always the main reason why i never seen any DBZ movie or any anime movie. Without consistant connection to the main plot, its nothing but a show to entertain you for an hour and then never carrying its accompllishment to anywhere.

Is this the actual villain for the movie (I didn't look into it I have other things to do) I expected him to be like Sombra or Tirek don't tell me he'll make half assed jokes through the movie trying to be funny but it's a kids movie so I don't care I'll still watch it but cringe through it. Makes you wonder if someone like Darth Vader decided to invade how many ponies would die, experimented on, or simply tortured I would want to see their reaction to it.

Its how movies work in any media. The only exception will be the Star Vs Movie which was created out of 4 episodes fo Season 3 and is part of the lore.

MLP movie was made for newcomers. While i understand that they don't want them to force to watch entire series, at least i wish that McCarthy would force tv series fans to watch the movie and base S8 on event in that movie so it would be a vital part of the show.

Its just not seem to happen. They created entire "new land beyond Equestria" to bascially dettach itself from that story once the movie end.
