No. That's coming from someone who likes EqG. Without the talking animals, FIM wouldn't have stood out enough from the dozens of other cartoons / animus for me to give it a try. Without the talking animals, it just looks like another magical girl cartoon. It has much better writing music animation voice acting etc than most others of its kind, but I would've passed it over because it wouldn't have stood out.
