I'd say you should watch everything and make your own opinion. Don't skip anything because someone told you is not worthing.

In my personal opinion:
Season 6 was one of the worst seasons of all; however there were good quality episodes, overall they were pretty lame (specially most of the Mane 6 ones).
Season 7, by the other hand, seems pretty good for now. It feels fresh, with good ideas and final plot revelations we were straving for a long time.
