Yeah I don't know. It'd probably be best if I moved on. I find myself wondering what I'll think of this period of my life when I'm 40, 50, 60 years old. When if I ever have kids, I don't know how I'd explain this to them. My old man was into dirt bikes and drinking and girls when he was my age. Nope. I essentially stopped mid-season 5, so there's really almost nothing holding me to the show, except for the fact that I periodically watch some early season stuff and my D&D group still does ponies. Oh, and I'm a clopper.

But as far as show go, Star vs. is the better thing now.

Completely depends on:
1 - the art style and animation
2 - the characters
3 - the voice acting
4 - the writing

Those were pretty much the three things that drew me in to FiM, in approximately that order.I was drawn into FiM primarily because of the art style, just seeing screencaps being posted around 2010/2011 I thought "hey that doesn't look terrible, actually looks cute". Then when I started watching the animation was great (for flash), and what kept me hooked was the characters and their voice actors (since they kinda merge into one). If a show has bad voice acting I just can't get into it (one of the reasons I have such a hard time with anime... I hate having to read subtitles while watching, but dubs are 95% garbage)
