In the old days when it first moved to Baltimore? It was quite fun. As time went on, it's less and less. If you do plan ongoing bring friends, other wise there's not much to really do.

The vendor hall is only good for about 3-4 hours if you take it slow. Most of the good panels fill up hours before they start, Bronypalooza is alright if you like the music.

This year however it's opening up to a more general audience? So I can't say if that's going to help or hurt. My money is on hurt.

What? I've been going since 2014 and there hasn't been a noticeable difference of the cons fun factor. In fact last year was probably my favorite year considering I actually got to hit up a few panels with fellow horsefuckers.

Maybe. I don't mind sharing the floor with a few SUfags or whatever as long as 90% of the con is still pony. There has been an issue with non pony related cosplays in the past though and that may be an issue.

Ive never gone to a convention, because I never wanted to travel too far. But, Ciderfest is actually a very short drive for me and im contemplating about going. Anyone ever been to ciderfest, and is it worth my time? I need some fags to consume alcohol with.

I don't know, for a single franchise we've done pretty well for ourselves. Ultimately most of your reasons given can be applied to any convention that's happening now since there's a ton of circlejerking among sub fan groups and people trying to sell their shit on the vendor floor.

Without resorting back to the Dashcon arguement at the very least we aren't own by Hasjew yet.

I went for the first time last year end enjoyed it. Wish I could go this summer, but I'm currently in a co-op and can't just take a few days off sadly. Maybe next year. Will be jealously watching the threads.

Looking forward to my 5th year at this convention. Sadly I was not able to get a slot for a panel, but I think I waited to long. But anyways looking forward to spending money in the vendor hall and hanging out with /mlp/ people. Maybe we can all play TSSSF together. I'm planning on adding to my annual costume this year too.

I'll be there. Should be fun and horrible and odorous as always. At least the drinks are nice.
