I think it's become more of a place where a bunch of people of the same interest come to talk about things. For example /mlp/ isn't about mlp anymore it's for people who like mlp and everything related to it. Not really a bad thing but if every board had a strict guidline on what you could and couldn't post, over half the boards would be gone. Like I said, it's not really a bad thing. It's kinda comfy.

/co/ feels like what 4chan used to be: hard-hitting, uncompromisingly honest, but fair. If something is shit, it's shit and they won't give any quarter to it but if it's decent, they'll acknowledge it instead of twisting in the wind trying to find some way to shit on it anyway like /v/ does.
